I'm 20 yrs old and have suffered from an eating disorder for 6 yrs. Bleh. I'm so excited to get to know some of you. Any questions for me?-
The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. Hi! Welcome to CF! I'm Steffi (or Steph) and although I don't struggle with an ED I tend to find myself hanging out in this area of the forum quite a bit just because of the awesome people in here.

My name is Elizabeth, Elyse for short. I live in CA. I was at school in MI for a yr and a half at a private, extremely conservative school but left because my life got too out of hand. I'm home now, been home since christmas. I spent christmas at a residential treatment center. I was doing well for a few months but I'm slipping again, fast. Hobbies? Honestly, I dont know. I like babies. I'd typically say running but Im not sure if I actually LIKE it. I did compete in hs and college (in MI) in cc and track. Ive spent so much time consumed by this ed that I dont know very much about myself.

I know what you mean about being consumed by your ED so you don't know who the real you is. I'm the same way, with my ED, self injury, suicidality, self hate, etc., etc. But there really is a YOU behind your eating disorder!! I can promise you that. And it's your job to dig her out and resurrect her.
