Newbie! Newbie!!

Hi! My name is... Serendipity!, I'm 15, and (as you might have guessed from my title) I'm a newbie! I found out about this place from a couple of my friends, so I decided to check it out. I love to write-- anything from poetry to fiction to... well, that's about it, but at least it's writing!

I've gone to a couple of writing workshops, and they all told me that all writers should get input on their work from other writers, so I have a question for you all: are you up to the task?

Tell me something about yourself, or your writing. How long have you been at it? What kinds of things do you all like to write about? Read any good poetry lately? Tell me about it! I want to get to know some people on here so I don't feel like a total loner! Until we write again!

P.S. Have any of you ever read "Writing Down the Bones" by Natalie Goldman? (It's either Goldman or Goldburg-- I can't remember.) It's EXCELLENT!!

Welcome, Serendipity! I'm Shawn! I'm new too. I have yet to post some of my work, but I write fiction to science fiction to fantasy. I plan to be a famous book writer :D

What kind of workshops did you take? Because I'm going to take one with October. Did it help you with your writing at all? I'm going to one located at writingclasses.com. You can check it out.

And I searched for writing forums because they said that writers should be around writers too! So we're both here for the same reason :)

Thanks for all the welcoming! Shawn-- I just went to a couple of poetry workshops. They were mostly just so we could learn what types of poetry there are, etc., but I'm more of a free-style kind of girl. I am also so far an un-posting member, but that'll change, as soon as I have some good stuff to put up!
.:serendipity:.
P.S. Writing Down the Bones is by Natalie GoldBURG, not Goldman. Sorry, my mistake earlier.
