Newbie from Canada

I found the newbie thread! I posted my newbie post in the outdoors part of the forum as I didn't see the newbie thread. It seems a little quiet in the outdoors and the garden thread... could it have something to do with the 10ft of snow outside?
I have already been reading alot of great postings in this site, I have been enjoying all the threads. I have been slacking for a while now with my reading, praying, spending time with Jesus. I was watching a Christian claymation childrens movie about Jesus a week ago with my two year old son and it put a strong, sad, burden feeling in my heart that I have been slipping away from God. Funny God used a kids movie to get my attention I joined this forum in hope to study and learn with other Christians, and also there is so many threads such as the outdoors, garden, hobby ect (I hope to see all you green thumbs there when the weather warms up) Its nice to be able to chat about stuff like that without the crude jokes and stuff you would find on a non Christian forum.
Btw, if anyone can fill me in on what the "blessings" are and how they work that would be great!

I am happy to see I am not the only one here enjoying (hahaha) the great Canadian winter we are having this year. So far here in New Brunswick we have enjoyed (hahaha) a snow storm once a week since January Thanks for the welcome, I look forward to seeing you in the forums
