  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I've never really celebrated New Year's. I always feel sad at "endings" of anything, whether it be a book, movie, or year of my life. And I think of how I'm getting another year older. Bleh, lol. I usually pray for God to get me through the next year in one piece :)

I actually see New Year's just the opposite way. It's always been my favorite holiday (though I think the Chinese New Year is now because it has the same thing going for it as the Western New Year, but it being celebrated in style :D) because I see it as a time of new beginnings, fresh starts. Then again, I'm usually quite glad to be rid of the past year and eager for a new one. Though in many ways, 2012 was quite good to me.

To answer the OP question:
Lose the baby weight and get back on a good fitness path, especially regarding strength training, which I enjoy.

Get involved in our new church. They are very warm and have encouraged us to become part of the church family, so that shouldn't be too difficult, except for my aversion to socialness because of my insecurity in social situations.

I know that's how most people see it. I wish I did, too. Maybe someday I will :) I've always hated endings, but I don't know why. *philosophical puzzlement*

Continue with my exercise goals; get stronger and lose 3-5 more lbs.
Decide on our insurance and go ahead with it, then we can resolve to plan other things.....

Gol Zamar, I have always disliked New Year's too. Mainly because everything and everyone gets another year older. And as a child I used to see the imagery of baby new year and old man past year often and it disturbed me to think of what happened to old man new year after the old year went out. But, these past few years have been pretty wonderful so hopefully 2013 is the best yet!

definitely lose weight about 20-30 lbs, get employed, gain a deeper relationship with Jesus and serve Him more,
hey that's an idea; starting a thread how we do these things!

I'm not seriously going to start anything until after Jan 1 foodwise. My husband got a new product called a sugar blocker, sounds good to me!

As for involvement, we give as needs arise and our tithe, I have given time for the Angel tree ministries, and ushering. Stuff like that on a church plane but on a more private plane there are things too. I would be inspired to hear how you are serving Jesus.

My goals for 2013 is as follows:

Lose weight.
Change my eating habits.
Accept the gift Mydnyte brings on his trip to see me. :satisfied:
Visit Mydnyte in Tenn and meet his family. :)

Have you guys set dates for the trips to see each other yet, or are you guys still planning? I know it is so hard between visits!

He wants to come in Spring, so I will probably go to Tennessee sometime after that.

We are so excited because we had plans for December but they fell through, so we are totally wanting a spring meeting. :)

It is hard between visits. Gotta find a new job soon that pays better. (And I do appreciate having a job, but something needs to change)

I started making an evaluation a couple months ago. I haven't finished so I don't have a complete diagnose and can't still make my resolutions. But one of the things I wanted to do before this year ends is reading too books. I think I can do that. :)
