Anyone else planning to make Christian walk/life changes with the new year?
Maybe just more dedication or time to what you are already doing.

I plan to do the Bible Plan mentioned in this thread: Bible Reading 2005

I plan to do more Bible studies on specific topics to write them up to share with others.

I plan to spend even more time in prayer to know God's will for my life.

I plan to continue to build Christian, edifying friendships.

:prayer:

I hadn't thought about it too much but reading the Bible more often is an important thing I need to do. I printed out a sheet taht gives you a plan as to what bible verse to read that day to get it done in a certain amount of time. So I think I'll do that.

I will read the Bible more and really focus on studying it!
I will spend more time with the Lord in prayer!
I will try to follow the will of God in all areas of my life!
I will fight against the devil when he tries to get me!
I will try to lead more people to Christ!

I pray to treat each moment as a gift and an opportunity. A gift with a purpose. I hope to fulfill my purpose each moment as God would have me to. To His glory.

I pray to make His wishes and plans and priorities mine. I pray to kill off my own wishes and plans and priorities.

I pray to convey His mercy, love, grace and forgiveness. I want to see others as He sees them and love them as He would.

I pray to view my life and this world ,through an eternal perspective. I want to do what really counts in the long run. I want to love people as He's loved me.

I pray that His life is lived through me.

First of all, I'll have to set my focus on the Lord and the Lord alone...I'm not gonna hold back anything but submitting every part of my life to the Lord. He knows better what is best for me. Yes, I'll let Him shape me to be the person He wants me to be and work within me, my character.

What's next?

Lemme see...next, my main objective is to focus on my family. They are non-Christians and rely highly on idols worshipping. Each day, they live in fear, especially mum...she'll just associate everything with voodoo or black magic. Have to :prayer: for them to come to know God and that the Lord will open their eyes that they may see the true God.

Anything else? Let's see...I've been praying to find out God's Will for me. Yes, I'll continue to pray to ask God to reveal what am I to do here. There gotta be a reason why I'm still alive today even after coming face-to-face with a life-taking accident, right? What could it be? Sure enough, lately, I noticed that I'm being associated with hurts and pain. Some told me that I have to learn how to endure long suffering. What am I made for? OK, I'll pray more about this...

Attending Bible School this new year? Hhhhmm.....let's see what is God's Will for me first...

OK, year 2005 will be a year full of :prayer: ...

Yes, I definitely have plans to improve my Christian Walk this year.

I plan to incorporate at least 30 minutes of prayer daily.
I plan to read through the entire Bible at least twice this year.
I plan to spend at least an hour in deep study of the New Testament daily.
I plan to work on improving the relationship with both my wife and daughter this year.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!

This year, I plan to:

...be slower to anger and quicker to forgive others
...find more ways to glorify God
...love others more deeply
...cherish God even more than I do now
...grow even more closer to Him than I do now
...help others who don't know Him to know Him better

and may I never grow weary of doing good for the sake of advancing God's kingdom.

Amen and may God shower all of you with His blessings!!

I was gonna try to go a whole year without swearing once....that didn't last long

I was gonna read bible and pray everyday....that only lasted a couple days...

Christianity is hard.
That's okay. Keep getting back on the horse when you fall. Rome wasn't built in one day. Relationships and consistency takes time. If we were all perfect, we wouldn't need God. We all fall short so we all need God's grace to help us live in a fallen world. The key is to recognize your sins, recommit yourself to try again...and keep God close to your heart.
