There are very few people posting here at the moment. People come and go.

I don't recommend one denomination over another, or denominations at all really. Just look at a local congregation, ask if it is healthy in the way it functions, how they resolve and transform conflict, do they have a clear anti-bullying policy in place etc. Do they pay attention to good communication and helping everyone to learn how to handle disagreements well? And if you are satisfied on those counts, then ask yourself if it has a missional and outward looking stance, and actively develops, mentors, encourages, empowers every member in finding a place of service and a developing ministry. Do they do this for everyone, or just a select few? Is it truly a 'sending out' congregation, or a 'gathering in' one?

That's how I make a decision on where to worship. I happen to be a Salvationist, as I grew up in the army, but our local congregation is aging and basically too old now to turn around and reboot without a very committed and determined team. The army doesn't have enough leaders available who can do that by a very long way, so I wouldn't imagine it will happen. I'm therefore working ecumenically in a specialised ministry and looking at planting new forms of church, while retaining a link to my denomination.

I pray you will find a church that disciples, forms and trains you up to go out and be a blessing to your community, bearing the good news of Jesus. :0)
