New to this - need some help please!

Hello,

I just bought a Nikon N55 and I have no idea what all these buttons do, and when I should use what!

Anyone feel like helping me out?

Well, the only advise i can give to use is this. since i can physically touch the camra and show you, if they have directions that came with the camera i would read all of it. it will definatly help out a lot. truthfully i don't have one of those really nice cameras. i just use a family digitaly camera.

Yea, but I bought it off ebay, and it did not come with any manuals.... I wish!

oh. well thats poopy! i guess you could play around with it. thats what i would do. it doesn't take me long to figure things out. if that doesn't work you can always go into a camera place and they can proubly show you how it works.

Nikon may also have a copy of the manual on their website, or do a google search... I got a pdf version of the manual for my Fuji 5000, because I couldn't be bothered finding the real copy.

I looked but I could not find it.

Take your camera with you to a real camera store (not FotoMat or WalMart), like Ritz Camera or Wolf Camera and ask them to help you. They should certainly have someone on the staff who knows about your camera if they're worth their salt. They should be able to order you a copy of the manual, or possibly have one on hand if the camera is current. And be prepared to take notes.
