In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I live in southeastern Pennsylvania,
have three daughters and five grandkids

Welcome and gardening and hiking and reading works great at least till we can all get vaccines. Happy New Year as well and I hope you also had a blessed Christmas.

Gardening is slow during the winter months
I did some photography hiking last week and took a spill on ice in a creek.
No broken bones but it sure loosed things up and broke the camera.

So my Christmas present for myself is a Nikon d3500, coming next week!

I sorry for your camera but getting a new one likely will eased the pain. I garden indoors, with numerous plants on the north Western window under a full spectrum lighting. I also took a picture this morning of the red sky off our southern facing porch (safer with all that ice out there) this morning and my Daughter sent it to her friend far south. She added I went out with only a sweater on. I mean it was just for a quick picture, right. Her friends comment. "you northerners".
