Hi, my name is Wayne and Im new. Im 50, a Southern Baptist and a retired Army RN. I lost my dear wife Bonnie to ALS (Lou Gehrigs Disease) on 9 Dec 2005. Prior to my Bonnies passing, I didnt participate in any on-line message boards or bulletin boards, but after her passing I started participating in an on-line bereavement support group and it is there that I heard of this group.
I am so glad I found this site. I can only credit the Lord for carrying me through these last 8 ½ months since my Bonnie went Home. Ive tried to give comfort and support to others on the other board by sharing His Word and praying for them, but so often I find that the Christian perspective is not wanted there and the ones who dont want to hear about Christ can be very vocal so to speak. I guess I just really need somewhere I can go to pitch my on-line tent among my like minded brothers and sisters. And I would appreciate your prayers to strengthen me because I wont give up trying to share Christs love on the other site because I believe this is what the Lord wants me to do and I know there are many there who do want it, but the negativity of those who dont can be quite draining and so often Im tempted to just stop.
God Bless,
Wayne
