  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Looking through this forum it appears to be a diversified one, and to me that is a good thing. I’m a writer among other things, working on my first Christian Novel. I’m a baby boomer with a wonderful wife, have kids, but they are another matter.

Welcome to the forum!

Writing is a wonderful art, I have written a lot in my past... not so much now that I have a full time job, wife, kids, and a part time job... but I still love writing and hope that some day God will use my writing more, though I am blessed to know He has used it already to some extent.

I think there is a great need for Christian literature. Even fiction. Having clean entertainment for our children and selves is a very beneficial thing and hard to find today!

Sometimes fiction can also be used to deliver a powerful message, or witness to others. My work is fiction based on actual events.
