Hello
@ChristIsKing_, first off,
WELCOME TO CF
Also, and far more importantly,
WELCOME TO THE FAMILY OF GOD
38 years ago (this November 2nd) I was just like you are now. The Lord had done a WONDROUS thing in my life (the most INCREDIBLE thing that has ever happened to me, by far) when I knew that He had forgiven me of all of my sins, saved me and made me one of His adopted children, but I didn't know what to do next either.
This is where the church comes in, as God never intended for any of us to lead the Christian life alone, apart from other believers. You need us, and we need you .. e.g.
1 Corinthians 12:7
(actually, you may want to read all of
1 Corinthians 12, especially from v4 to the end of the chapter).
Christians have always been/always will be men and women under authority, and a great part of that for us in this life is found in being under the teaching and authority of the visible church. It's also a place that helps us remember who we are, and Whom we serve, as well as a place to worship Him together, to pray together, and to support each other in the faith (which includes the difficult lives that we sometimes lead because we are Christians).
So, go find a church to have regular fellowship with other believers in, to pray and to worship Him together in, and to continually grow in your knowledge and understanding of God/His word/the faith. BTW, as a new Christian, I believe that your principal ministry going forward (for the foreseeable future) is to do just that, to sit at the Lord's feet (so to speak) and continually grow in your knowledge and understanding of Him .. e.g.
Luke 10:38-42.
And keep coming here too, of course, though you may want to stay on the
New Christians Board for awhile, as much of what is talked about on many of the other boards here can be pretty overwhelming at times for a new believer (and if that ever happens, and it will, just tell us, and/or your pastor, and/or your fellow believers at church what you are not sure of and we'll all do our best to help you understand

).
Remember too that as a Christian, God has given you
eternal life .. e.g.
John 5:24, so if you don't understand something right away, or if you hear or read something that seems wrong to you somehow (or is in some way even upsetting to you), just write it down and set it aside until you have the time to ask us about it and look into it further, as time is actually something that you have a lot of now
Finally, you may want to listen and/or read this four-part teaching series for new believers called
Spiritual Boot Camp. It takes a close look at four of our most important Christian spiritual disciplines,
How to Study the Bible,
How to Pray,
How to Function in the Body (Fellowship) and
How to Witness. Along with helping you understand these four disciplines better and how to best practice them, the series will also give you helpful and practical ways to apply them to your life (I went through this series about 35 years ago and I'm still using some of the things that I learned from it in my daily walk with Him today

).
Just go
here, scroll down a bit, and then choose one of the parts to listen to and/or read (which is always free to do online now, just FYI).
God bless you!!
--David
1 Thessalonians 5
23 May the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body
be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.
