• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am asking this here since I do not see anywhere else to put it.
I enjoy clicking on the new threads concerning topics of interest to me. This can cause problems since you can create a response that is not allowed in the forum where the new post takes you. Is it possible to do something to indicate the forum to which the new posts are going? This would really be helpful for all concerned. So, is it possible?
Thank you.

I would recommend to scroll up first if you are using the side panel. That's the only way to know which forum you are in.

I take that to be...No there is no way to indicate from the beginning where those posts are going.
Thanks anyway.

Not from the beginning, no. However, like the other member noted, when you go to the New Threads page, the forum that the threads are in is shown. At least on a PC/Mac, I am not sure about how it looks on a mobile browser.

wow, that's too bad. It could be something as simple as a little colored dot, that people could avoid going to some forums to post, or know right off the bat, it is a read only for them.
Oh well it looks like such a feature is not available on this forums software. Thanks anyway.
