How would you misinterpret the gap between what Luke says about Paul going to preach immediately after the Damascus Road incident, and Paul saying he took a 14 to 17 year sabbatical before actively preaching, in Galatians, during which time G_d taught him all he knew about Yeshua etc ?

His missing 17 years baffles the greatest of minds, and contradicts Luke.

Your saying people are actually baffled?

I will have to admit, I do see room for conjecture, and assumption, but I personally do not see a discrepancy here between the Acts, and Galatians commentary.

I really don't mean to quibble over such things but, could you point out where this alleged discrepancy takes place?

Oh my goodness, really? You cannot see that Luke says that Paul went to Jerusalem not long after the Damascus road event, whereas Paul actually corrects it and insists that he didn't go to meet all the apostles until about 17 YEARS later; he did go for a break about three YEARS lafter the event, and met Peter, but that is not meeting all the all the apostles

That is not a contradiction in your way of thinking????

Errors may only be in the eyes of the beholder.

How do we know what we might call errors are actually errors indeed and not just our own misunderstanding, or Misinterpretation?

If your saying the greatest minds are baffled, or there is a CONTRADICTION, I personally would opt for the minds of the greats to be baffled, because we all know there aren't any Contradictions in the Bible, otherwise whats the use of having a Bible in the first place, if it cannot be trusted to tell the truth.

These verses must of necessity be Reconcilable, therefore it has to be, their own Misunderstanding, or Misinterpretation.

Care to be more explicit in you explanation?

These errors and contradictions are what prove the Bible to be true - anyone wanting to write a novel about the things in the Bible would ensure it is word perfect, but its 'warts and all' style show it to be not another story, but a living record about G_d's complete self revelation to us.

Sorry if I upset your world of great minds, I'm just a simple man, and it's not confusing to me, I accept it as written and there aren't any contradictions, just Misunderstandings by some, whose eyes they have shut.

Getting angry and insulting Brothers is not a way to get someone to accept your beliefs.

Are you listed on this site as a Teacher?

Just because you believe your teaching doesn't necessarily mean you are or that you are capable of Teaching.

2Ti 2:24,25

I am a student, a learner, a Disciple so to speak, I seek the truth and knowledge provided in the Bible.

I accept what I have read concerning the issue at hand, and you sir disagree with my assessment of what I see, that is totally your prerogative, but just because you disagree with my beliefs doesn't mean I am wrong and you are right.

Anyone is capable of Misunderstanding, Misinterpreting, or not understanding at all what has been written, but just because you have arrived at a conclusion does not mean that conclusion is correct of even valid.

I as a seeker sought your knowledge on the subject but you do not have a Teachers heart, therefore you were huffy, because I asked you questions, questioning your beliefs.

If you know it, then Teach it, you say your the Teacher here, don't expect me to take what you say because you have said it.
