"Brothers and sisters, I am leaving you. Thank you for your welcome. Pray for me and I will be with you again soon. We will see one another soon. Tomorrow I want to go to pray the Madonna, that she may protect Rome. Good night and sleep well!" (and those were HIS words, not my interpretation)
It's always interesting to see a bunch of people who know nothing about a subject. Thanks for the entertainment.
is that not kind of a Straw Man?I might have figured out who the monkey is.
It's not the blessed Joseph sitting at the right hand of God, not that Saint Joseph could or would, I believe that spot is taken, or reserved for the Son of God.
is that not kind of a Straw Man?
I mean I have not heard anybody say that St.Joseph takes the place of Christ?
Rev 18:2 And he cried out with a mighty voice, saying, "Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She has become a dwelling place of demons and a prison of every unclean spirit, and a prison of every unclean and hateful bird.Revelation 18:4,5
"I greet and thank cordially all of you, dear friends belonging to other religious traditions; firstly the Muslims, who worship the one living and merciful God, and call upon Him in prayer. I really appreciate your presence, and in it I see a tangible sign of the wish to grow in recipricol trust and in cooperation for the common good of humanity."
Here is another quote to get one thinking. This is from the Bishop of Rome Francis I-His discourse to the representatives of churches, Ecclesial communities and other religions. It's nothing new as far as the Roman Catholic Churches beliefs on the subject, but just presented as a conversation starter.

(One can read the whole speech online at radiovaticana)
I hope it is ok that I quote this:
"Accept the risen Jesus into your life. Even if you have been far away, take a small step towards him: he awaits you with open arms."
I think I get what you meanSounds like a Baptist preacher to me...
I consider myself to be an evangelical, and I believe in a general call, but I must confess that I'm not to keen on how the general call is articulated by most preachers, and most of the time, they also happen to not be Reformed. I don't know where the notion of "accepting" came from, but it's common and non-biblical. With Jesus it's more like...follow me, and believe...repent of your sins and believe God has raised him from the dead...and he's certainly not waiting for everyone with open arms. But anyway, call it nitpicking....
I do not really know what that meansTo be clear...I'm a Historicist when it comes to eschatology.
I think I get what you mean
I am not a calvinist but I am turned off by the "easy believe" style as it is sometimes called, like the style Rev.Billy Graham made popular
did I understand you correctly?
