Here's some pictures from tonight of our two "babies." They're both a year and a half old. One is 35 pounds the other is 10 pounds.

Very observant. Unfortunately, yes. And Chester likes to lay sideways in bed as sprawled out as he can. He's part dachshund and is very looooong.

So RebekkaH, would your cats ever let you dress them up? When I was at Target getting the pajamas for Wes I saw all these hats and scarfs for cats. All the cats I've heard stories about from friends would NEVER have let anyone put any clothes on them.

LOL! Our Ada is definitely plump, and she wants to sleep as spread out as possible too - so sometimes my nights aren't too comfortable. It's my own fault - she's so cute, I can't send her away!

No, they would hate it if I dressed them up! I made a necklace of daisies for my first cat, around her neck, but that was the only thing that any cat of mine ever wore. They look silly enough as it is, without clothes - they don't really need it.

And I agree that I normally don't like to dress up pets. It reminds me of when my mom bought a string of fake pearls for the dog we had when I was growing up, and would put it on her on her birthday, and it drove my dad nuts! Although this Christmas, I really want to take a picture of our dog with a Santa hat and my in-laws' dog with an elf hat, because I think that would be adorable

Your "baby" is so cute! He looks huge! What kind of dog is he? Both of ours are also rescues but that's what the vets they've been to tell us.

I've always been anti-clothing on animals but poor baby Wes gets so cold that in the winter he has to wear clothes. Poor thing shakes horribly so he had a jacket, t-shirt, and pajamas (of course he doesn't wear them all at once). The pj's absolutely crack me up and when I put them on him I could not stop laughing. Poor dog. Now I can see why some dogs might need to wear clothes.

As for the dressing up thing, I love it. When all the morning talk shows have Halloween episodes with puppies dressed up in costumes, I turn into a raving awwwwww machine. It drives my husband nuts, but I've always been of the opinion that one of the best things about having kids (especially little girls) is being able to decorate them, and I guess I extend that to my furbabies too.

Your doggie is beautiful, bluebug! What's his name? He looks so playful! I love that about dogs - cats only play when they are in the mood, but dogs really play with you. I love playing with my SIL's dog.

Well, since you asked....

This was Halloween 2001. The big fluffy one (the groom) was a good sport about it, but the little one (the bride) wasn't so happy. They are both girls, btw.

That is awesome, Snooch! I am dying here laughing. Those pictures are so cute and adorable. I love it! Where did you even find clothes like that?

I sure wish my other dog would let me put clothes on him. He's a nervous dog who doesn't even like his harness put on him for walks so there's no way he'd go for clothes! I saw this cute sweatshirt and football jersey in his size but like I said, I'd be risking life and limb if I tried something like that.

I'm pretty sure I found the Halloween costumes at PetSmart, but I had to get them early, like September. Any later and all the good ones are gone.
