  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yeah, I've got hold of it. Although it's not their best work, it's still very good, but takes a few listens before you really begin to appreciate it

So far I agree. Hey Joe has caught on REALLY fast, but the rest of the album is not as good. My mother thinks that this album is as good as Get Ready, but I do not think so as of yet.

Have you ever listened to any Monaco? Its Peter Hook and a Bernard Sumner soundalike. Very good!

Yes, I've heard Monaco too. I also have a couple of albums by Electronic. I am also a huge fan of Joy Division.

I listened to a lot of Joy Division in high school. I have since given up the music as being evil and bad for me. If I had to list my top favorite songs of theirs, I believe it would go as follows:

1. Walked on Line (Warsaw and JD version)
2. Shadowplay (not the Warsaw version)
3. Love Will Tear us Apart (Duh)
4. Hm... maybe Decades
5. 24 Hours

my roommate has it but I've not listened to it yet.

I too love Warsaw/Joy Division, and especially early New Order (Movement is my favorite LP by them).

My favorite songs by the above bands include
New Dawn Fades (jd)
Shadowplay (jd)
Decades (jd)
Doubts Even Here (no)
Broken Promises (no)
True Faith (no)
In a Lonely Place (jd & no)
Regret (no)
