  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

An Erwin bashing thread would consist of pointless insults and unrelated shots fired. What I've said, along with the many who agree, is nothing more than truth. You state that it's just new graphics, yet the new graphics, name, and identity of this site erase Jesus Christ from its appearance and identity. Claiming to stick to a Christian "vision" means nothing - most forum users couldn't care less about a forum's vision anyway. Erwin has stated that he made this change to attract people who would've otherwise felt "threatened" by the Christian name - and that REEKS of shame of Christ! To say that the name of God was too much of a negative thing for PEOPLE means he has put people before God, and thus would rather serve them than Him.

It's disgusting. It's much more than a change of graphics, it is an act of betrayal toward the One who made this site what it was in the first place.

And that's not bashing.

It's truth.

I imagine the new graphics came in some pre-set package, yeah? So there probably hasn't been time to make the ones that wouldn't fit in a typical secular forum. I imagine this would be a good thread in which to politely request additional graphics -- eh, Erwin?

I repeat, there are other places to discuss the big picture of where the website is going. This thread is an announcement about graphics.
