• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Thank you it would be nice if he did forgive me but 1st because I have sinned some serious sins and have not been punished by the law of man I will never be at peace. At 1st I denied the sin for my own benefit but now I take gods punishment to spare my family from the pain they will suffer if I own up. Foot get me wrong I have turned my back on this terrible sin but I can not get away from the felling god does not won't to know me till I own up,which I will never do. so now you can see all though I love god I am not entitled to forgiveness and must be punished for this life and the next.

My love and thanks go out to you all who walk with him,I wish I was in your shoes.

1 John 2:2

New International Version (NIV)

2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours {"but also for the sins of the whole world"}.

Your sins are already paid for my friend. It's kind of like having a winning lottery ticket and not cashing it in. You're not doing your family any favors by not spending eternity with them. Don't forget the Apostle Paul murdered many people before being used mightily by the Lord. What happens between you and the law of man is your business an internet stranger really can't speak to that but I do understand you not wanting to bring harm to your family.

Thank you for your kind words. I would like to cash that ticket in now please. When I read what you said I think but not sure that I felt the power of the lord. I don't or haven't cried for some time but I felt like it then. I only now need to convince my self that I am forgiven then I will feel better. I also need Jesus to help control my anger, as I know uhis is not good in gods eyes.

Hey my friend, anger usually comes from unforgiveness {as you probably already know} either for ourselves and/or others. God does not like anger but that's because it will do you no good. It only separates you from Him which inhibits your healing process/relationship with Him. You know you can't take revenge on anyone without hurting yourself and your family. When you humble yourself by praying for blessings on all of your enemies that's when you will start to feel a great burden being lifted off of your shoulders. You know the great thing is your family will sense the joy, love and peace that is starting to grow in you and that will bless their hearts. The greatest irony in the universe is the more selfless and humble you are the more God will bless you with the greatest gifts this life has to offer.

4 “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep an loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? 5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders 6 and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ 7 I tell yo that in the same way there will be more rejoicing heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not repent.
