Hello all!
I am a minister of a Protestant church and I have a M.A. in Biblical Studies. I am well versed in Protestant history and theology. Growing up, I was well aware of Roman Catholicism (and am vaguely familiar with their history/teachings), but I am brand new to Eastern Orthodoxy. I had heard of the Greek Orthodox Church of course, but never knew anyone affiliated with them and new nothing of their practices or teachings.
I'm very, VERY interested in Eastern Orthodoxy AND Roman Catholicism but compared to Protestantism their history, doctrine, and hierarchy seem VERY overwhelming. I can't make sense of what I read nor do I know where to even begin.
Could you guide in the right direction and/or simplify this process for me?
Thank you all very much, and I am thankful to be here with you all!
