  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hi,
So where do I start? I went to a Baptist church with my friend's family when I was growing up. Since then I attended a Methodist church until they closed due to declining membership. I started going to a non-denominational church but recently left there. As my friend would say, I've felt unsettled at the nondenominational church..little outreach, and it felt like I was always on the outside looking in.
I started attending a Nazarene church and thought I found my new church home.
But I've been unsettled..the teachings are biblically sound but there are some things that seem so different to me. The pastor's message today was about the Rapture. The Methodist church and nondenominational church didn't discuss that topic much if at all. Also, the fact the Nazarene church has different views on salvation.
So here I am.. torn. I started getting my toes wet in the women's ministry but I don't know if this is a good fit. And now I don't know what to do other than pray. Please pray for clarity.

Welcome. If you are looking for the perfect church, you are wasting your time. If you are accepted, loved and can fellowship where you are, stick with it. If they preach something you don't agree with, either ignore it or ask the Pastor to clarify it. We need to stand on truth but be teachable as well. No one has all the truth. We should be learning all through our lives.
