Hi everyone
I'm new to this forum, I joined in mid-December; I found this site surfing the net. My main goal here is to meet new brothers and sisters in Christ and grow further in my walk with HIM. I love Jesus with all my heart and am forever grateful to Him for knocking on my heart's door.
I'm pretty new to Christian BB's, I stumbled across another Christian BB last summer (Rapture Ready) and have posted quite a bit over there.
Side note to mods....I promise to be a good girl
I hope that I'll be able to navigate this board...it's much larger than the other one I post on.
Well a little about me; I'm a 45 y.o. mother of three grown children. I'm married to a wonderful man named Bill. We live in northern Alabama and I work for a large defense contractor as a Business Manager. I'm originally from central Illinois and my husband is from St. Louis.
My husband was raised Catholic and I was raised in an atheist home. Hubby is a non-practicing Catholic who attends church with me. We go to a non-dem church here in Huntsville called the Rock Family Worship Center. It is a bible believing church and we love it.
I had accepted the Lord into my life when I was in my early 20's but soon fell away. About 11 -12 months ago I was in Blockbuster looking for a movie to rent and came across the Left Behind movie. I picked it up, continued to walk around looking for something else....couldn't find anything so I rent it. Took it home and watched it, wow scared the living you know what out of me. (I guess Jesus was trying to tell me something). After I returned the movie, I kept thinking what if HE came today? ....I'm a good person, loving, law-abiding, etc., but I knew that I wouldn't be called home because I wasn't living my life for Christ. After about 4 weeks of this kind of thinking, I finally decided that living for Christ was much better than living for myself, so I dropped to my knees and asked Him to forgive me of my sins, to come into my life and heart. Thank You Jesus for knocking on my hearts door!
I love discussing the bible and Jesus and look forward to meeting all of you and sharing our love of Jesus with each other.
