I am new here and looking forward to talking with others. My husband and I moved here two years ago to be with his parents as they are up in age. This is my husbands hometown but for me its all new and I still dont know anyone here in town. My emails are my only social life and my computer here is my opened door to the outside world. JESUS has been my only best friend these past two years. Now I am looking forward to coming in here and finding fellowship. In HIS Love sis_jean

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Good to have you amongst us... I've only been here a couple of weeks myself but thoroughly enjoying the company - it's a good place to be! I look forward to getting to know you better...
Forgive me if I'm stating the obvious, but if you're new in town and haven't made any friends yet, then my tip would be to go to a church. I've always found it the best place to make friends.
Further suggestion - try and find a live, Bible-believing, loving church where you feel welcome....good hunting!
