I personally am no physician by a long shot, but the details of the "black plague" are very old, and have had hundreds of years and millions of cases for examination, making this disease vastly documented and thus very easy for anyone to research.
It is clear that this prophecy must be in reference to the bubonic plague, as opposed to the viral disease most epidemiologists today believe could have also been called the "black death" in later pandemics, which has no tie to rodents. Given the stern insistence that this is a vision of the "black plague" of old and not some other disease or even one yet to be discovered, this is the only sound conclusion.
Now, let’s take a look at the alleged first breakout, and ignore the fact that there are still 200 cases of the bubonic plague found every year. A detailed description of the symptoms at death is provided: purple all over, and bleeding through the mouth, nostrils, ears, and eyes. GWNN is obviously relating these symptoms to plague septicemia—that is, the progression of infection into the blood stream, which causes necrosis, bleeding, and death.
There are a few problems with this correlation. While this septicemia is very deadly, it is usually a
stage of the infection—a progression in untreated plague victims. Plague victims whose lymph nodes are already infected, their immune systems shot—consequently, their bloodstream, the entry point of the pathogen in the first place, is overrun. So, where are the boils? So these victims were bleeding out of every opening in their head—where are the other symptoms? What about the other organs that should’ve been bleeding? Where are the lumps? The infected lymph nodes? Furthermore, purple all over…
suddenly…is not the necrosis of the plague. You don’t have to be a doctor to know that.
This disease killed too suddenly (even for the black death), out of sequence, and with symptoms that really don’t match the bubonic plague. Furthermore, the bubonic plague will be a “mystery disease” the day I get a date with Sarah Palin. China’s healthcare system isn’t the best in the world, but even
3rd world doctors know the bubonic plague when they see it. We’ve had centuries to understand this disease, and even some bizarre mutation of the bacteria wouldn’t do this, unless of course we were actually characters in a science fiction show.
Yeah, we know that China is headed by a secretive bunch that cares more about keeping their economy competitive than preventing people from dying, so then, wouldn’t they be much more likely to report a disease that is curable and very unlikely to spread in 1st tier nations than some “mystery virus” that spreads rapidly, spreads secretly, and kills suddenly without any prior symptoms? We received word of the latter.
This disease isn’t the disease that was prophesied. It’s something different—maybe something worse. It would indeed take an act of God to fashion the bubonic plague into what we’re seeing in this report—and if it
was an act of God (not just another disease, but one specific disease miraculously pretending to be another disease), then it would be the Prophet’s job to reprove the world of the wrong that God is correcting with this plague. These prophets aren’t doing that.
