  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Have you ever read a great thread, to return later to find it gone, and having to use the "Search" function to find it?

Well, I have programmed a new feature into Christian Forums - the Favorite Threads Folder system.

The Favorite Folder system can be found by clicking on the "Profile" Button at the top, then the "Favorite" link. You can create folders and place threads in each, for easy access.

To add a thread to your Favorite Folder:
At the bottom of each thread there is a link "Add to Favorite" on the right hand side. Click on it, and you can add that thread to your Favorite Folder by choosing the folder you have created.

This is different to the "Subscribe Thread" feature - with subscription to threads or forums you get an email when a new post is made, whereas with "Favorites" you just store your favorite threads and do NOT get emails.

Enjoy! :)

Addition:

You can now SHARE your favorite threads with other members. To share your favorites, click on the "Profile" button at the top, then on the "Options" link, and for option "Share Favorite Threads?" choose "YES". This is set to "No" by default.

You can view a member's favorite threads if they have allowed it in their options by clicking on the Profile - the "View Member's Favorite Threads" link is on the bottom left hand corner.
