New Feature: CF Quizzes!!!

this is terrible. I mean it costs you 10 to do a quiz and then you don't even make that much back if you even do good on a quiz. it seems to me the quiz system is pointless now. whats wrong with easy blessings anyways. it's not like they're money or anything. I personally like having enough blessings to go around and buy people items from the armor shops and stuff. Have we forgotten that blessings are for blessing people with. Blessings are just supposed to be a fun way to bless people and get fun stuff in the shops. nothing more, nothing less. but personally i would vote for the idea of banning the people from the quiz section if they're caught abusing it, so we all don't have to suffer for the few bad apples.

Alright, CF Quizzes are back!!!

The whole system has been set-up - all we need are quizzes! This time, members are free to submit their own quizzes. Staff will review them, and approve them.

Each quiz will use 10 blessings to be played.

If you pass the quiz (get 50% or more), each correct answer will give you 10 blessings back!

If you fail the quiz (get less than 49%) then you get no blessings back.

If you get all answers correct (100%), then you get a 100 blessings bonus on top of the other blessings you get!

I'm so bummed that to play it still costs 10 blessings. But, the games now only give one blessing per right answer instead of 10 like they originally did.

Now, If someone posts a quiz with only 10 questions (or less) it actually costs more to play than you can be rewarded for winning!

Well... not quite- to make blessings on a short quiz- you have to be perfect.

It's okay if you don't raise the blessings on quizzes back to the way that they were before, but I know that I won't be doing any unless you do raise them. It's not worth the effort.

I was surprised to find the lowering of the reward. I hope Erwin finds another way to make this work with the old rewards. It's not as much fun this way.

I just discovered he quizzs and have been taking them because they're fun! Isn't that what they're there for? I'd take them even if no blessings were given. If to you they take "efort" and are not fun, why take them at all?

Sure they're fun, but when you pay 10 to play a 5 question quiz and get four right, you lose 6. Or if you have to start over several times because it isn't working properly.

The quizzes were never meant to be a way to earn blessings. Blessings are given out only as a means to balance out the 10 blessings you use to play one. If you're good, and get all questions correct, you may even be in front. If you play a quiz with 20 questions, and get all 20 correct, you will get 40 blessings back. Quizzes are meant to be similar to the arcade games - something that is fun. It's not meant to be a blessings giveaway. You don't get blessings with arcade games - quizzes are the same.

Erwin, I think it would be fun for lots of members if you could have some "officially approved" quizzes, for which the answers were all known to be correct (i.e., you can't answer it correctly and still get it wrong because the maker entered the wrong answer), and that on these quizzes, people could earn the old amount of blessings.

or like i said in another thread that maybe we could lower the price to take a quiz to 5 blessings then you would still get rewarded but not go in the hole too much at the same time

In fact, I've reduced the number of blessings you get from quizzes, to prevent abuse. As it is, members can abuse the quizzes by setting up phony quizzes with 1 account, and using another account to get free blessings, then deleting the quiz.

gee, they are smart. I wouldn't be able to figure that out. but I don't have computer smarts like everyone else on here. ha.

I've recoded the quizzes a bit - the error to do with the timer should be resolved. Please let me know.

As of this post, the "You cannot answer this question twice" bug should be fixed with additional coding.

If this error occurs from now on, it's because you've pressed backspace or click Next Question twice.

How do you know who wrote the quiz and what do you do about there not being a correct answer or you know your answer is correct but the quiz says it's not?
