New database server appears to be working very well...

We have over 2,200 users online now and the site is moving very quickly and smoothly. Looks like our new database server is handling things very well. We have just upgraded to the latest version of the forum software as well.

Erwin, is this a very recent development? I agree things are running wonderfully tonight but there's been a thread running for a while now in Bug Reports about how slow the site has been. It's been really bad for a couple of weeks now, at least.

If this is the fix for that problem, I can't praise your hard work enough!

Sorry to ask this, and don't mean to be discouraging because I do enjoy CF (when it works)... but is it really a thing to shout about 2,200 users being online when the stats say the highest number of people online was 6,554 a couple of years ago?

Its not working at all in the last 2days. I couldn't get the bank blessings, i couldn't put my horse in temperary care centre-said database error, but still went in.

I couldn't post at all, could view some threads, but others I could only view title, couldn't send PM etc, could view posts in Australia&Chrisbot, but still wouln't allow me to post. Couldn't check last page yesterday, it wouldn't even let me in blessing exchange for most of the day and all yesterday-due to the database problems I've withdrawn my blessings from the bank as I have too much to risk loosing in a Huge Server crash like yesterday and today. This is the first time today i been able to post and access some areas. Its very very slow though! Not fast at all

This new database server has screwed my account up. I lost all my gender, religion, ect information, not to mention all my blessings . When I do try to fix it, it does not update.

There are people sending blessings, having them deducted from their account, but not being credited by the receiver. Still problems! And missings thread is still gone.

It seems so... there are more bug reports elsewhere too from yesterday!

In short, this thread should maybe be renamed to "New database server does not appear to be working very well... "
