Hey yall, I am Anna Rae I am from Louisiana. I just joined this site (again) today. I used to be a member of it way back in high school but kinda forgot all about it...or possibly deleted my account lol who knows Just wanted to poke my head out and introduce myself. Yea as you probably have guessed I am a nurse and yes I have loads of awesome stories LOL I am an open book and very hard to offend so ask me anything! Reply to this or PM me!

What is the oddest thing you have seen being a nurse?

murph---the weirdest thing hmm.....wow which one to choose lol we get alot of weird people becuase I work in a speicalty hosptial in Louisiana. I suppose the weirdest would be when I got floated to an adult floor and had this woman in her late 30's that had met a man online and came all the way from CA to Louisinana to be with him and marry him but apparently this was their first meeting. Well the man didn't like what he saw apparently and she took it very hard, mixed antifreeze with equal and milk and drank it trying to kill herself. Well stupid didn't put enouch anitfreeze in the mixture to kill herself just land her in the hosptial. The antidote for antifreeze with Ethanol (alcohol) which we usually give IV but we didn't have any so the doctor handed me some cash and said "go buy her a case of bud LOL my job as her nurse was to keep her drunk all shift so her kidneys wouldn't shut down. What made it even better was this woman was shtizophrenic and bipolar....on top of me getting her drunk LOL yes it was an interesting shift. Whenever she urinated I had to run a black light over her urine to see if it glowed (because anitifreeze glows in urine under a black light) so we would know when all the antifreeze was out of her system

bahaha! If I had a dollar for every time someone said that to me I would be soooo rich!

My favorite season is winter becuase I live in Louisiana so that is the only time it gets below freakin 80!! LIke today for instance it got up to 65! Felt like spring. Plus you can only take off so much and then you are still hot but you can always put on more layers

My favorite color is black, yes I know that seems morbid and yes I was one of the emo chicks in high school LOL but I just have always found it pretty

My favorite kind of food besides good ole Louisinana cajun food would definatly have to be Mexican food! I could eat it every single day!

I have been going to church since I was 3yo--went with my neighbor but I would consider myself "saved" when I was 11yo. I also got my entire family in church. Love me some Jesus hehe

My favorite book in the bible is Isaiah. Just something about it that I find inspriational. I know that is not the norm haha most ppl say proverbs or something but what can I say im abnormal lol

That's pretty cool that you got saved early and got your family in church.

Isaiah is an interesting choice. For the Old Testament my favorite would be Genesis. I love knowing how everything really began, and Psalms is another one that is incredible to me. But I recommend all 66 books, always something wonderful to learn and to treasure.

When not working hmm theres a thought LOL. When I do get my off days I work on homework. I am an LPN2 currently working on my RN degree which I hope to finish at the end of this year. I also read alot and like to work out.

Perhaps today---- My favorite kind of music is definately rock. I love all kinds from christian rock to hard rock to metal. I try listen to as much christian as possible thou. Oh i could go on for hours about music

I love classic rock, hard rock, metal, classic country, bluegrass, southern gospel, and even old-school rap on occasion. I've tried to get into Christian rock and metal, but so far I haven't found much that I liked.

I do like disney movies--my fav one would probably be the Jungle book hehe I love Baloo (spelling?)

I am outdoorsy although I hate summer which I know makes absolutly no sense LOL I love going mud riddin, I have had ppl take me huntin but complained cuz I don't sit still LOL fishing I can do!

Black pen--probably cuz we arent allowed to write in anyting else at work so I have just gotten use to always writing in black pen

I would rather candles also I have a scentsy light that I love! hehe My favorite sents are fruity stuff like apple,watermelon and I love coconut!

Hmm style of clothes...that is a hard one to answer LOL I like to look nice, Love flip flops hehe.

Anna Rae is my first an middle name but that is what everyone calls me.

I acctually always said I would never be a nurse LOL weird I know. I changed my Major to nursing as a temporary thing until I figured out what I wanted to do but really got into it and now I wouldn't choose any other career. I love the adrenaline. I love the ability to help others. I love the feeling I get knowing I had this infant's life in my hands and I just saved their life. Its a feeling undiscribeable.
