Thanks to [name]casting989[/name] CF has a new logo - it's basically our previous logo but with just the cross.

This new logo is also on our CF stuff (merchandise) found here:

Just so people know. :)

Thanks casting989!

Would you consider picking an image for this 'ecumenical' forum that was more neutral and not so clearly in one direction over another? Taking a crucifix and turning it into a cross could be considered making a point- to some folks. I don't say this to stir trouble or make controversy out of a simple image, but the cross/crucifix issue is a major one in many Christian circles.

I'm not sure why you chose the cross over the other, but please consider the feelings of you non-protestants brethern here, who just saw a crucifix converted into a cross. Catholics, Orthodox and Coptics use crucifixes, protestants use crosses...

Wow apparently people made such a fuss that he took it down. Way to be team players, folks. :sigh:

I could possibly see where folks come from on this one, but honestly, a cross should not offend Christians.
Messianics don't usually wear or display crosses of any kind. But we're not making a fuss that this forum is using a cross just because it isn't our style.

For you maybe., but not for me.... :sigh:

And casting989, your cross is clean so why bother leaving the blood? He's either on it, or not at all :(

The cross is empty to signify that He rose from the dead.

The Cross that is not empty shows that He dies for our sins.

Dying for our sins would have been moot if He hadn't risen from the dead.

Exactly. He died on the cross, but was then taken down and buried, and from there , the burial chamber, He rose again. He did not rise from the Cross, He suffered on the Cross and gave His life for us there.

I'm sorry, but if my opinion counts I like it better with Jesus on the cross. Everytime anything on the forum is represented with Jesus on the cross it is taken down by people coming on and saying that He is off the cross and rose from the dead. We all know that. But why not show the ultimate sacrifice that He did. If that is the case and you all only want a cross, then why are the nails still allowed then? Why is the blood still allowed? The ultimate sacrifice was shown and now fixed up to make a point.

It seems to me that anything that us Catholics or Orthodox like gets shot down or taken down. Same went for when CF started selling "Stuff". Everyone wanted the crucifix off and a cross put up instead. This is a repeated thing.

Besides, casting989 the person who created it should have her original artwork up the way she created it not a "politically correct" version of it. She did a phenomenal job, one that earned her the winning logo. Why change it?

Again, this is just my opinion. I mean no disrespect.
