  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

When I visited Caleb's parents in Virginia recently I brought a new Bible. The Lord told me to get a new Bible, a smaller one because it would be more comfortable for me to hold. I brought a small black one from Walmart. I love it alot. It has a cross on the front of it. It makes me feel good to hold it and read from it. The Lord told me to keep it with me always. The Lord told me the Bible is to protect me and that it is the perfect one for me.

Actually, the Bible doesn't protect you. The Lord does that. The Bible helps you get to know the Lord better.

Wonderful news. I have my bibles at home, but on the go I love using YouVersion app for devotionals and reading with my phone. It's nice to have the word portable =)
