  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Sin is moral failure. It involves a rejection of what is right in favor of doing what "feels" right.

The "law" that is broken is the law of what is intrinsically right. That which is right has always been right because it is part of God's character.

You can attain a disposition of loving God because of His grace. You are correct that thinking of it in human-only terms (without the divine life of God flowing through you----in other words: grace) the idea of quitting sinning is not possible. But don't worry about little sins or if you feel your love for God is not "perfect." Continue to press on toward the goal of reaching Him. That is what God wants. Scripture says even the righteous man falls seven times. When you fall, repent and get back up again. You will grow stronger.

There are sins that result in our souls bound to hell and other sins do not. See this other thread discussing sins that are "moral" that kill the grace in a soul.
