CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

^ I reckon. I saw him on at like 12:30 in the morning (Australia time and everything...ie. 30 minutes after midnight); he works too hard, but it is definitely appreciated.

I'm glad that we get the ability to appeal them now (or express our opinion) this keeps mods from being "delete happy" now.

What gets me upset is anyone can have a "bad day" (even mods), and sometimes post something in anger.... and regret it later. But we do not get a chance to change it first, we just get "official warning" or "unofficial warning" with the post instantly deleted. Then we have to wear it for a year. This is so unChristian to me, a total lack of forgiveness for manmade rules. I am so glad that Jesus forgives me when I repent of anything I have done. It would cause me to rejoice if this site followed Jesus in truth. It is a good idea and plan basically, but lacks a few things such as forgiveness. Where is the forgiveness that Jesus taught?
