  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm an aspiring christian from Saudi Arabia, I lived in the Aramco compound for most of my life next to our American Christian neighbours and they've always extended their home and themselves to me.And I would always wonder when I was younger why they would always leave their homes on friday and head to the local American styles school ( as you see they cant go to it and practice on sunday, as its a weekday here in Saudi Arabia and friday is the muslim holy day akin to the Christian holy day which is sunday ). Till I asked the patriarch of the family, and he said they went to worship god, as the years went by I would wonder if it would be alright for me to go and join one of their sessions, but I would fear the reprisal I would get from family and community alike. Then one day, my good neighbour gave me a bible, and told me I might be interested in reading and learning, I cant say anything other than it was a VERY compelling read and opened my eyes to everything, least of not Gods love for me. I am this close to claiming him as my saviour and I have all but stopped worshiping at the mosque, and my behavior is starting to alarm my family, I dont want to say I fear for my life as it would be too dramatic, but I know what I can expect if I am caught. Pray for my salvation dear brothers and sisters, and as much as there is reward in it, I dont wish to be a martyr. Aziz

You are a very courageous man, and our Lord Jesus Christ loves you dearly.

Heavenly Father, I come to you through our Lord Jesus Christ, and I ask You, Lord to guide, lead, and show Aziz that:

our Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of our Almighty God.

our Lord Jesus Christ was born of the Virgin Mary.

our Lord Jesus Christ walked on this earth.

our Lord Jesus Christ was crucified and died on the Cross.

our Lord Jesus Christ died to cleanse you of all sin and to redeem you with our Almighty God.

our Lord Jesus Christ rose again on the third day.

our Lord Jesus Christ sits on the right hand side of our Heavenly Father in the Heavenlies.

our Lord Jesus Christ has brought you back from the kingdom of darkness and bondage of Satan.

I ask this Jesus' Name.

Love in Christ Aziz.

Thank you brother Elijah for your moral and spiritual supprot that is greatly appreciated by me.Your response to my plight has strengthened my resolve to be around my Christian brethren should the end of times occur whilst I am still alive, as I believe I would prefer to be with my own " flock " if you will then around people whose faith I dont share. Alas, the chances of that happening are about slim to none. And it should be said that if my " apostasy " should become public knowledge, I have 3 days to recant, or death awaits.

I'll pray for a way of escape from the tense situation you're in. I've known some in the situation. As you may know, on the western end of the church and government this issue is largely settled.

It creates a culture that is hard to be happy with, though.

So there are challenges for us. Pray for us as well.

Brother stay safe!!! Though you know that you will be in heaven with the Lord should humans ever do that to you. It's sad that here I have these religious freedoms and my Brother can't even worship as he pleases. :(

You're in my prayers! I'm sure the Lord is protecting you

Wow, what a tense situation. Dear aspiring Christian, the Lord is with you. If you are persecuted for your faith for him, the more glory and praise and love and honor be to you.

You hold faithful in your fear and the Lord will deliver you through, I promise you! Keep your faith. Jesus will deliver you!

Dear God, be with this persecuted and aspiring Christian. Rest your hand on him and show him your mighty love. Protect him from people who don't understand the true love of Christ!

In Jesus's precious name,

AMEN!

Tell your Christian neighbors, but no one else. Have them keep it secret, and find out how to stay safe from them. Most of us are not writing to you from persecuted countries, so we don't know a thing about how to properly lay low and stay safe. Make this faith your life commitment and don't die without converting other people or the situation in your country will never improve. Keep yourself safe, and God bless you.

Some people may not agree with what i'm about to say, but God doesn't live in buildings made with hands. God doesn't have bounderies.

Go to the mosque and pray to the true God. You don't have to worship their God. If you desire to be a Christian, then do so. As long as your physical and mental actions don't contridict your true faith in God.

Another solution would be to flee from your current residence to one of your Christian neighbors. Is there anything keeping you from leaving where you are?

That's a death penalty offense under Islam. That's why the pope couldn't make the sign of the cross or anything Christian when he was at the Hagia Sophia, since they turned it into a mosque. Bottom line is if you're Christian, you're dead. Besides, that would be like asking a former alcoholic to go to a bar and not drink any beer. Not smart, not productive.
