CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I didn't see any specifications regarding the use of christian standards such as the nicene and apostles creeds. Nor any definition as to what a "christian" is which is the problem in the first place.

I don't think it will be that bad...there are several people on there that I trust implicitly regardless of whether I've ever had differences with them.

Hey, Tonks. May I ask which members those are? I respect your opinion and will reserve judgment. But as you know, one member joined CC under false pretenses and when she was found out left us and has maligned us ever since. I had thought she would be a valuable member, but it was not to be.

We would all be wise to do the same. Far too many promises have been made here, and far too many people have been duped by them. I truly hope this new "direction" is from the desire to serve and glorify God. But only time will tell.
