  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

New Adam, who's the new Eve?

Jesus is the new Adam who's the new Eve?
Jesus is the king, who is the queen?

Good day,

On what premise do you suppose there is one, federal headship is extended from Adam (in Adam all died), to Jesus. Jesus has been a king for all of eternity. What is your premise?

In Him,

Bill

Just a simple question? Logic would indicate that if there is a new Adam there would be a new Eve? And Jesus is the new Adam, who's the new Eve? Jesus is the King, who's the queen? Just curious?

Which law of Logic would you be referring to,?

The three fundamental laws of logic:
the law of contradiction,
the law of excluded middle
the principle of identity.

You have not stated your premise please do so.

In Him,

Bill

I know the answer you're looking for. :)

However, I'd say that Jesus atoned for Eve's sins as well as Adam's. Jesus embodies a renewed and sanctified humankind, male and female alike. Of course the human Jesus was male (and Galilean, and probably dark-haired and dark-eyed, and so on), but he represents all of us, even if we don't share his gender or nationality or eye color.

On king and queen: King is one good metaphor for Jesus. (Word, Wisdom, Shepherd, and Light are some other good metaphors.) But we shouldn't get too carried away with the details of one particular metaphor. Jesus is like a king, but it doesn't mean that he has the whole feudal system of a queen and a palace and knights and peasants. Metaphors are useful for understanding, but all metaphors are limited.

Scripture says nothing of a new Eve. Christ, however, is the Bridegroom and the church is the bride.

Nobody... "Adam" represents all of mankind and the second Adam saved mankind. Scripture declares ONLY a king... no queen.

The bible clearly writes about the church as Gods bride, however I doubt that the bride of Christ is getting ready, really. She seems awfully occupied globally with the worldly events more than with the getting ready for the kingdom in heaven and getting people with her.

It’s Christ’s job to present the bride as spotless.

In Yahweh's Kingdom, there is no queen.
There is a "queen" on earth/ pagan religions, (rebellious people, lost) ,
but
not in Scripture/ not in Yahweh's Kingdom.

Did not Jesus say "Seek, and keep seeking, (never stop),
and you will find " (the truth/ the kingdom/ Yahweh) ,
"Ask , and keep asking "(until you know the truth, from the only ONE WHO can reveal it to you ) ?

So , then, do not be dismayed by the days of Noah wickednesses and deceptions all around you on earth...
keep seeking Yahweh's Kingdom (it is at hand)
while there is still some light (not too long now) ,
and you will find it.

Requirements? See the requirements Jesus spoke to all of the disciples, and stop listening to men who don't.

His group stated his premise, centuries ago, and every year since then.

It may not be in line with any Scripture, though, obviously, but the premise is very well published worldwide to billions of people. (not knowing Scripture)

There is definitely a queen..shes spoken of a few times in the bible. Read psalms 45..she does exist and is Jesus' bride.
No, sorry.... that's not what the op's premise is (as far as posts so far), and it's not in line with Scripture concerning the body of Christ, ekklesia, either Jews or gentiles....

yes , there were queens in the past,
but
the ones referred to religiously in the last 2000 years have all had pagan, heathen origins. (all the ones I've ever heard of and/or seen; besides not being in the New Testament) ....

There is a "new" eve...
< shrugs > perhaps if you mean woman, redeemed,
but not like religion tries to portray ,
no , not in the body of Christ, nor among the Jews in the kingdom of Yahweh.

Who ever tries to teach there is any kind of new "eve" today ,
other than star trek on television ?

Eve in the New Testament
EVE IN THE NEW TESTAMENT

(Eua; Westcott and Hort, The New Testament in Greek, Heua):

"Eve" occurs twice in the New Testament and both references are in the Pauline writings. In 1 Timothy 2:12-14 woman's place in teaching is the subject of discussion, and the writer declares that she is a learner and not a teacher, that she is to be in quietness and not to have dominion over a man. Paul elsewhere expressed this same idea (see 1 Corinthians 14:34, 35).

It is called an abomination.
That comes from mythology/ heathen religions/ men or demons.
