All I can say on this topic is:

1. Don't be in a rush --this isn't a race.
2. Be sure you end up with the right
person who shares your values.
3. God will provide.
When in doubt, pray on #3.

I don't think that girl was playing games with me, I think she was really busy. Maybe I should have triied harder but I know at least I tried. Anyways that was two year ago.

Breetai, I stayed away from party girls, never could click with them, my friends however didn't and some of them got hurt, so I learned by watching in those situations.

Good pointers here, it has definately raised my confidence a couple notches to know that I'm not alone in never having a girlfriend.

Don't feel bad that you haven't had a girlfriend before. I was my husband's first girlfriend. I felt so special that I was the first person he had even kissed properly. I wish I could've said the same thing.

I would say that you don't need to have smooth lines to impress a nice girl. Just be polite and friendly to her. If you are interested in a more serious relationship, after being friends for a while, just let her know. If she's not interested, I am hoping that she will be kind about it.

wow, im 15 and i havent had a gf. But i guess i cant compare to other people here. *shrug* oh well. Ive always based my chick issues on the thought that God will provide the girl for me and i just have to follow Him faithfully until that time. My time will come. But, until then, im single and HATING it

15? Why would you want to have had a girlfriend? Most junior high relationships are pretty shallow anyway

Before you start labeling someone as stupid (in such broad terms, no less), maybe you should get some smarts yourself, and find out what the motivations are for one's behavior. Jenny's portrayal and the way the role was written was in fact, right on the money.
If you remember, Jenny was sexually abused as a child. If you know anything about psychology, or victims of child sexual abuse, you'll know that they have feelings of very low self-worth; so, Jenny never felt she was worthy of Forrest's love. Thus, she sought out low lifes who would treat her like ****. She jumped in anybody and everybody's car, she posed for skin flicks, etc. She had no love for herself, didn't care about her well-being, and couldn't understand, or appreciate the fact that Forrest did. Which, is the beauty of the ending. She was able to come full circle, bury her pain, and let herself give love, and be loved. One of the best moments in this great film is when Forrest, Jenny, and a young Haley Joel Osment as "Little Forrest" are walking together hand and hand. {end of responses}
