You might one day be in a close relationship with the woman of your dreams. Don't give up hope. It might be around the corner for you.

Fleeing responsibility and not wanting to get close to someone don't sound like good reasons to not marry.

I am on the same page as you. One moment I'm all like "I'm staying single" to keep my freedom ... and the next moment I got baby fever (which means I need a husband)

Also, as an introvert it can be very hard to get to know people so I understand what you mean on that account

There are benefits to staying single... such as being able to devote all your love and efforts to the Lord. That is where true freedom is.

I noticed as of this moment you haven't responded to the question about what freedom you refer to as the freedom of being single.

In my experience, that is usually a way for someone to say they want to live it up... live their life without any obligations or anything. As already stated, not the best of reasons to stay single.

I think our churches have an obsession with marriage, as if believers need to be married to be pleasing to God. If I had it to do over again I would never have gotten married. Not because I don't love my wife and kids, I absolutely do, but I would rather be able to devote my time and efforts to the Lord.

Don't feel like you have to get married, but do not avoid marriage so you can live immorally.

Depends on who this individual is married to.

A spouse can easily demand more time and attention which distracts from the Lord. This is why Paul told the Corinthians it is better for people to stay single.

Wanting freedom to serve the Lord in a singular way and being satisfied in singleness are good reasons to not marry. If this is your situation then may God bless you in your singleness.

Sometimes we get fed up with being single, and we do something like this to make it easier to live with...you know, pretend we really *want* to be single...yeah, dat's it, "I like it". Then the moment she bats those gorgeous eyes in your direction, your coming to grips with being single fades so fast, it'll make your head spin.
