I understand that given what I have said I sound like a hypocrite (posting for lurkers,) but I cannot continue to do something I know is not working.


I enjoyed conversing with everyone, and I really wish everyone (even those I disagree with vehemently) well.

How do you know it is not working? because the person you are arguing with doesn't change their mind? That doesn't mean others not posting, but just reading along might see truths in your words and be affected by them. Sometimes what we seek may never be visible to us, but we may affect the lives of those around us and never know it.

I don't argue on here to convince the opposition of the errors of their ways, but so that others maybe reading but not posting who have questions may be able to glean something useful.

To convince the other side is useless.

No amount of argument or fact will ever change anyone who believes they are right that they are wrong. But you might be helping those still on the fence that never say a word....

How do you know it is not working? because the person you are arguing with doesn't change their mind? That doesn't mean others not posting, but just reading along might see truths in your words and be affected by them. Even you and me have gone back and forth in a much more hostile manner (though, I didn't mind; we just vehemently disagreed.) Yet, our words remain...

I won't be posting on the particular forums that would appear to foster philosophical enrichment through mathematics and science. When you actually put those things up, it becomes a problem. No matter how controversial, the evidence shouldn't be squelched.

More than often, you can not discuss in a normal way here.

However, if you have an issue, I think I can do some discussion.

There was nothing that would have been more ideal about the discussion except if we all agreed with each other. It truly was a discussion, and the level of mathematics and physics involved was paramount to the topic at hand.

However, that was squelched. When I see threads on other scientific topics, people are allowed to post all sorts of what one would call pseudoscience. When pure mathematical evidence was provided for a controversial topic, there was a silence.

It was very easy to speak with people who disagreed - and even converse with them after presenting them with pure mathematical evidence. In fact, when the evidence was put forth, there was a respect inherent in the discussion because of the level of the evidence presented.

Perhaps it is wrong to discuss on these forums in general - despite the actual forum monikers. For this reason, I will never attempt to provide any type of mathematical evidence for anything on these forums, and I will make sure to stay away from thread topics concerning the natural sciences and mathematics. The only reason I entertained those discussions is because of the amount of people who are bachelors, masters and doctors in their natural scientific field, and because I thought I could provide a positive contribution.

The person I was primarily conversing with was a master in his field (perhaps a doctor). We were having a very productive mathematical discussion about geometry. It won't happen with me again.


This thread was mainly for the participants of that thread that may have been blindsided by the sudden silence. I am already cognizant of the impossibility of discussion in most of these forums and sub-forums.

I am not wasting more knowledge and information on another argument or squelching when I have seen the best of christianforums.com discussion and debate. Going back to a cheap substitute (the usual fare on here) would be ignorant and silly.

This thread was meant as a courtesy for the persons with which I was conversing in the squelched thread. As you can see, people who only have quips felt the need to give their sentiments about it something that didn't concern them - which is why they got no response (which, was also a curtousey.) That is the typical spiritual vampirism I would rather stay away from - even in its basic bait form.

Everyone else is free to discuss whatever, but the intention of this thread was not to discuss anything.

This is an example of the usual fare on CF. I am used to this, in fact - because it is so hackneyed here. Comment without understanding context.

But the thread that I and others were apart of - that was squelched - did not (ultimately) lack the couth one would expect from an enriching philosophical discussion about controversial topics.

Clearly, that is a novelty on these forums, as it seems the frozen-in temperament on the discussion/debate forums is that of hostility and incredulity.
