She woke and was wide awake shouting for her water (she has a sippy cup at night) the weird thing is she was talking normally not in her usual sleepy/crying woken at night voice. She went quiet for 30 mins then started again. I went in soothed etc, left... 20 mins later started again. Then I went in and said 'last time' this usually works and she knows no messing about. Quiet for 30 mins... then starts up again shouting it's morning and she doesn;t want to sleep!.

DH was really mad and has gone to the sofa having had no sleep at all and is working today. Before he went I mentioned how weird it was she was so awake, not usual at all... then he hit the nail on the head.... chocolate!
She only gets some as treats normally, yesterday we were at a friends' and they did not monitor treats being Easter Day. Their 3yo had a huge choc tractor which they left him with in the play room, we were chatting next door the kids were in and out. I realised DD had eaten HEAPS of chocolate. That has to be it, caffiene and sugar, but I would have thought it would have been out her system by the middle of the night

Anyway, back to chocolate as treats again and forever rationed
