  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I haven't used Blockbuster, but Netflix has been great. If we drop it in the mail Monday, we get the next one Wednesday. There's only been one exception, where it wasn't available locally and had to be shipped from Denver, so it was delayed an extra two days.

Not sure what you mean by secure though?

We use it too. Happy with it although I don't like the billing system. Billed me twice for one rental, billed me for a dvd I saw already. 2 times is all I've had problems with though.

Netflix is a monthly fee though, not per-movie rental charges. How did you get billed twice for a movie?

I do Blockbuster...I like it alot!!! For every movie they send in the mail, you can either mail it back yourself or take it to Blockbuster and they will mail them back for you plus exchange them for more movies to watch until more come in the mail...it's like getting twice the movies for the same price.

I've had terrible customer service experience with blockbuster, several instances of them being rude and one of them just outright lying to my face about things. The only thing you lose going with netflix is the ability to exchange in store, but with their fast turnaround and good customer service it's a tradeoff I'm willing to make

I like Netflix. They have an amazing selection of movies and tv shows. You get billed monthly not per movie. Their customer service is excellent. I've gotten a movie once that was broken (not their fault, I have an aggressive mailperson) and all I had to do was go to netflix.com report it and request a new one sent. No problems and no long explanation necessary which was nice. I love that I can see a preview for a movie coming out soon (or currently in the theater) and can save it so that when it's released on DVD, it's on my list. No more movies that I intended to see but forgot the title to.
I don't know anything about Blockbuster except in the store (like previous posters said) customer service and selection were lacking.

So far we have had no problems w/Blockbuster customer service...we live in a small town and I know most of them by name. If I would happen to experience anything negative or if I would move I'd definitely try Netflix.:)

Blockbuster bites around here. It took SO long to get stuff. Finally I switched to Netflix and I get stuff within two days.

I think a big part of it is being close to one of the distribution centers. The closest BB distro was in the DC area but the netflix was only 50 miles away in a much smaller population area so the mail travels better from there.

I agree! Blockbuster has serious customer service issues.

well these have been great to read through and I join everyone else who uses Netflix-I signed up on their trial.
It's a bit slow, like I thought it would be easy to send and get one the next day but it is only as fast as first class mail allows.
It works for us though because I can't sit and watch films all week. I love the way you can see new releases and save 'em.
