The terminology can be deceptive making the Majority text synonymous with the King James.
Although the Majority text is a cumulative translation of most of the available manuscripts,and is much better than the Critical Text the lineage of the King James dates back to Antioch.

But this is off topic,my point was bouncing between translation to support a book such as Jasper would be self serving agenda.
This book also has the creation account and is a counterfeit bible.

This topic reminds me of the resurgence of the uranchia false teaching that mingled God's word with a star trek premise.
It was simply made up and is a huge book of science fiction claiming new revelation.

I most likely missed spelled its name but could care less about revelation that contradicts the Word of God.

A very respected source for this study is the Bible Answer Man, Hank Hannigraph, found on some radio stations and at equip,org. Hank is a very Basic Pentacostal preacher that is often at odds with the Assemblies and some of the other Left Wing Pentacostals because his very Baptist stance on speaking in Tongues being THE SIGN of salvation.

I became interested in doing the study from listening to him answering folks on this mater. What I learned from the study is that God is always holy and has no part with sin. But I get ahead of myself, must be old age. Jesus taught us that we would not know our wives in Heaven and the context for that discussion gives us the meaning. We will not now them sexually and the reason is because "we will be as the angels."

This singular point plugs a hole no 20 Gauge at close range could inflict. But. then, as you point out... those two angels that ate, drank and, perhaps, conversed with Abram and did speak with Lot. From this account we learn that these are, indeed, in physical form but worthy of note is the truth that they have no part with sin. These angels are not named again but it is, therefore, also, reasonable to read into the scriptures that their service, in these bodies, was completed and they were ten reverted t their Spiritual or natural form.

And to this you will often hear, WHAT! Hear you go back to the Holiness of our God. And yes there are those Fallen Angels of unknown, to us, number. But there is one very important lesson in the Book of Job to be learned, Satan, oft considered, the most powerful of the Fallen could do nothing to Job without the permission of our Heavenly Father. This, God established, principle is never violated in the scriptures and the Word of God is our final authority, until the return of the Author, Jesus.

So it is that the summary goes somewhat like, God is omnipotent and therefore controls everything! (Requires a study all by itself or you will go nuts trying to understand why!) God controls everything, angels can do nothing without God's permission and foreknowledge. (Omniscience) And God allows some evil with His permissive will as illustrated in the Book of Job to teach us who we are and how strong we are and perhaps many other life lessons to grow strong and faithful followers.

But God, because of His Foreknowledge, will never grant any angel, fallen or not, a body to have sex with a human female. There is a good deal more to this issue than people want to study but intelligent answers are never found by reading into scripture what is not there. That is a short prescription for a ride into Hell.

Jesus was a man and took his body to Heaven, Jesus did not need a new body He never sinned. So Jesus is male in Heaven. I like being a man and I will be male in Heaven, just as I am sure many women like being female and will be female in Heaven. But sense lust is not Good, there will be no lust in Heaven, no lust no need or urge to Have sex. This forgiveness thing is a two way street meaning it also flows from you and i never stopped praying for this reconciliation. If i could not forgive I could never live in this country after returning from 'Nam twice. I bear you no grudge.

I do believe you will find that Jesus would not allow Mary to touch Him at the grave site because He had not, yet, ascended to the Father. (The Glorified Body?)

The scripture says we will be as the Angels and other than God has chosen to be addressed as Father and He chose to have Jesus born as the Son, I have yet to find any sexual distinction other than their appearance. And as far as choice of rolls, that is not nor has it ever been that we have one. The scriptures teach the omniscience of God. His omniscience gives Him not just the control of the stars, planets and meteors, He also controls how we were conceived and who we were born to be.

Listed in the Statement of Faith are things we, Baptists, consider essential leaving all else open to discussion for determination.

Actually, the thread title is "Nephilim." I've shown how that word is not fully understood but has nothing to do with angels, demons, or their "ability" to have sexual intercourse with humans.

The whole misbegotten concept is absurd. Making this thread an extreme waste of time and useless irritation of trillions of electrons.

I made my case early on. There's not point in restating it. I've never understood why some want to argue back and forth, adding more "evidence" or resources to their original post supporting a particular position. If people aren't going to receive an opinion the first time, what makes anyone think they will with verbiage piled higher and deeper?

They didn't come to Earth. They've been bound in hell since their rebellion. So one might ask, if that's the case, how there are demons loose in the world? Obvious: Satan is still free, so not all are bound. But there is no justification for establishing them on Earth and having relations with humans. Cohabitation of angels with humans is impossible. Nor does the next verse of Jude establish the fact that has happened.

This refers to the men of Sodom and Gomorrah, "since they in the same way" indulged in gross immorality. In other words, just as angels rebelled, so has man rebelled against God. Then there is the claim that sex is possible between angels and humans. That is an illogical assumption, given that angels are spirit beings and there is no possibility of physical contact with a fleshly being, man.

Undoubtedly this was the merging of the godly and ungodly lines springing from Adam was a Satanic plan, but not to the extent that angels, fallen or otherwise, had anything to do with the intermingling of the godly and evil bloodlines of man.

Genesis 6 doesn't say the Nephilim were the sons of God. It only says they were present:

6:4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those day sand also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men....

It seems that the text indicates the Nephilim were different from the "sons of God."

And isn't it interesting to anyone other than me that these characters survived the flood?

so now reading my theology book it comes to my understanding The sons of God were in fact angels. So angels slept with women. This is Elmer Towns view in his book theology for today. He says Gen 6:2 was not the only time sons of God were used to describe angels.

Job 1:6 KJV

6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.

7 And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

Now the NLT says members of the court, I will deffer to KJV in this case

and again job 38:7

38 Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,

2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?

3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.

4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?

6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;

7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

so it is clear the sons of God were angels that slept with women, that is why they were giant, and why they were heros. and that is why they were so wicked and God wipe them from the earth, they were a new race have angel half man. This explains their strength and size and also wickedness. It also explains why they took any woman they wanted because even a fallen angel was appeared beautiful. and no one could stop them because of their strength.
