There is Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in charlotte, and there is Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute in Hendersonville, and there are others all around NC and SC. Just go online and search for them, but these are the two I am most familiar with.[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]

Word of Life(Panhandle of Florida and one in New York) , for Bible Institutes...... If you want a Seminary Masters(John Macarthur's in Sun Valley California), or South Eastern Theological Seminary (Wake Forest, NC 15 miles due east of the State Capital Raleigh)..... as far as others.... I don't know of any other good ones....

I can warn you stay away from DTS, Fuller and some other theological seminaries.... they have sold out and either place the Bible as behind psychology (DTS) or have an anything goes attitude (Fuller - Ultra Conservative to Radically Liberal)

Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, Tn. and also Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Mo. are two Baptist colleges I can recommend with my highest possible recommendations, my brothers and sisters. I attended TTU from '82 through '86; and I went to school part-time at BBC in Springfield, Mo from '86 through '89.
These two universities are fundamentalist baptist schools with excellent teachers, and campuses.

All the schools listed here, with the exception of Bob Jones, Fruitland, and Liberty, it should be noted that the seminary end of the schools, i.e. Southeastern, Southern, Dallas, Gardner-Webb, etc., all require a B.A. before you enter their seminary programs. If you do not have one, then you have to work up to one, which would mean up to 4 years to get a B.A., and then 2-4 years more to reach the Masters and Doctorate levels.

Something to think about. Especially when your like me, 45 going on 46.

God Bless

Till all are one.

Don't forget Moody Bible Institute. There is also a nice small Bible college in Dubuque, Iowa - Emmaus Bible College. And there is Baptist Bible College near Scranton, Pennsylvania. I have had friends who have attended all three with excellent results.

I'm the first to admit that I don't necessarily know the difference between a Bible college and a Christian college, but several church colleges that have excellent reputations:

Grove City College (Grove City, Pennsylvania)
http://www.gcc.edu/index.php
one of the top colleges in the country - highly selective
one of two colleges in the U.S. that takes no federal money - hence are not subject to governmental rules and mandates.

Bluffton University (Bluffton, Ohio)
http://www.bluffton.edu/

Ashland University (Ashland, Ohio)

College of the Ozarks (near Branson, Missouri)

Bible College = College where you go for two or four years or maybe more and study though the Bible only.... nothing else.... well maybe (as in Word of Life) Evangelism classes and stuff.... but it's all about studying the Bible, learning how to interpret it, some foundational Greek and Hebrew...... it can be preparation for Seminary or just to have a firm grasp of Scriptures.....

Christian College = Offers classes that are taught by Christians to students in an environment where their faith will be encouraged, but they will be working towards a degree in a field of work, like nursing or law, or broadcast journalism, ie Cedarville College.....
