Yesterday, in the Bible section, there was a long drawn out debate on kicking people involved in sexually immorality out of the church. It started in a homosexual thread and continued on in another one. Anyway, it kind of stuck with me all night, and I realized these people struggling with this type thing REALLY need our prayer whether we allow them to attend church or not. I asked over there if 2 or 3 people would commit with me to praying for Christians struggling with sexual sin for about 10 or 15 minutes a day. So far no takers that I know of. Will anyone here join me????

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I've got a gay coworker, with whom I share an office.
Please pray for him. He is one of the nicest guys that ever lived, and he thinks he's living for the Lord. He just ignores the parts of the Bible that talk about homosexuality.
I dearly love this guy (like a friend) and want him to know what it's like to really have a relationship with the Lord.

I will especially pray for your co-worker. I just know that so many people really FEEL (whether true or not) that they CAN'T help it. Also internet pornography is so accessible now to people, that I think if not already, it will soon become an epidemic. And I guess "affairs" have always been among us....these people aren't just bad people, they are confused and need our support and prayer. I thank you guys so much for this! Really!
