If they're found protecting dangerous criminals , that might happen. The basis of "do no harm" remains the basis for a lot of laws.

Sanctuary Cities prohibit local law enforcement from contacting ICE, when they arrest an illegal criminal.
This is how many just stayed in the US and sex trafficked, sold drugs, committed murder, etc.

We should be appalled that criminals were given protection by our own mayors and governors.

Honestly, I don't disagree with this part of Trump's policy. Any of those criminals scattered throughout the US could have been the ones smuggling guns across the border.

What bothers me is those proclaiming open border uphold our values. Look at the toll it’s taken on over 27 million people. The unaccompanied children. Drugs, murder, etc. not all immigrants are criminals but many are as we have seen. Too many are being released without qualifying for asylum. Not how the immigration system was meant to work. This is not compassion but a goldmine for predatory traffickers.

Yes, adding humans to watch over the wall is much more effective with vigilance added. . . and there is enough staff with proper equipment.
