• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I have 13 days of sobriety today. I found a really good AA meeting less than two blocks from my new apartment. I will be making the coffee there every Friday in January. There are also two other meetings there during the week, but I have not attended those particular meetings yet.

I returned to my treatment group this evening and it was good. My group therapist asked me why I don't use the phone, or make a meeting when I get the urge to drink. In my defense, I did call my sponsor one evening when I was agitated, and I stayed sober. I honestly told him that most of the time, I get an attitude that says, "F*** it."

I am trying to work my program more diligently, as I struggle big time with a lot of stuff since moving into my new apartment. Fatigue from my fibromyalgia is rampant, especially since I returned to work this week. I have also been struggling with the depression, which is getting worse and worse this week.

But, I really am working my program, and trying to make sure that I stay sober.

All of the sayings mean so much..

I am back at treatment once a week, and we had a good session last night. My therapist is the best.

I am sleep deprived this week. I think the steroids from the shot, as well as other allergy treatments has made me schizzy, and I did want to drink today on the way home from work. Plus, I was having some weird symptoms that I believe will make anyone crazy.
