Need some help with Isaiah 2:20

Isaiah 2:19-21 (NASB)
19
Men will go into caves of the rocks
And into holes of the ground
Before the terror of the Lord
And the splendor of His majesty,
When He arises to make the earth tremble.
20
In that day men will cast away to the moles and the bats
Their idols of silver and their idols of gold,
Which they made for themselves to worship,
21
In order to go into the caverns of the rocks and the clefts of the cliffs
Before the terror of the Lord and the splendor of His majesty,
When He arises to make the earth tremble.


So I understand that people are casting away their idols to bats and moles and going into caves and holes. The thing I'm having trouble understanding is the fact that bats and moles live caves and holes. So it seems like they are casting their idols to the place they are going. Can someone help me out? Thanks

I've noticed that the NKJV is a little different...
18 But the idols He shall utterly abolish.
19 They shall go into the holes of the rocks,
And into the caves of the earth,
From the terror of the Lord
And the glory of His majesty,
When He arises to shake the earth mightily.
20 In that day a man will cast away his idols of silver
And his idols of gold,
Which they made, each for himself to worship,
To the moles and bats,
21 To go into the clefts of the rocks,
And into the crags of the rugged rocks,
From the terror of the Lord
And the glory of His majesty,
When He arises to shake the earth mightily.



In this version it says "they" go into the caves instead of "men" which could mean the idols. However, it doesn't seem like the majority of translations have it that way.

20 In that day a man will cast His idols of silver and his idols of gold, Which they made for themselves to bow down to, To the moles and to the bats,
21 So that they may go into the crevices of the rocks And into the clefts of the cliffs, From the dread of Jehovah, And from the splendor of His majesty, When He arises to make the earth tremble.
