My husband just told me something so sad, and I'm asking for your prayers. A man he works with has a sister who has MS. She has been suffering for several years and is completely immobile and bedridden. She can only take nutrition through a feeding tube, but she is apparently still lucid and able to communicate. And she has an 11 year old daughter. This man told Michael that about 2 days ago his sister refused to accept anything from the feeding tube any longer, and that he is abiding by her decision.
Michael tried, gently, to suggest to his friend that while he understands wanting to respect her wishes, that her state of mind needs to be taken into account (she is also on anti-depressants)and essentially letting her starve to death isn't right. The friend didn't want to hear it, he said he has no faith left because of all this. Without nutrition she will not survive much longer. Please, please pray for this family. It's just so terrible, for all of them.
Peace be with you.
Sandy
