I am typing this letter with one finger of my left hand. The last few days have been interesting to say the least. Saterday I worked 7AM-NOON. I came home and we had an early supper cause both Dale and Brad had to be at work by 5. About 4 my right hand started to hurt for no apparent reason. As the evening progressed it got worse and worse. I had to quit talking to my friend Crystle on msn cause it hurt too much to type. I spent most of the night pacing the house and crying cause it hurt so much. I tried heat,ice, rest,soaking in warm water. Nothing worked. Dale and Brad got home about 11:30 and they both insisted I go to yhe ER. Dale & I arrived there about midnight. Then the waiting began. By this time my hand was swollen quite a bit. When I finallt got to see the doctor it was about 1:30 AM. He did had bloodwork done but it came back okay. Thet started an IV drip with an anti-biotic. He didn't know if it was an inflammation or an infection so I am being treated for both. The pain goes up and down. He also gave me Tylenol with codeine for the pain. We didn't get home from the ER till 5:30 AM. It was a very long night. I was not able to go to church the next day and in fact slept most of the day Sunday. The swelling has been very slow to go down. I cannot bend my middle at all. I am suppose to call my family doctor today.
Tuesday I was to have a colonoscopy but it has to be cancelled because of all the medications they put me on at the ER.I wasn't suppise to take anything except Tylenol 7 days prior to the colonoscopy. It was just routine so I guess it will be rescheduled.
Of course I am not able to go to work either.
