• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Firstly, I am new here so please be gentle with me... :)

Secondly, I have known about Word of Faith almost five years, and have dabbled with it but never really got into it seriously.

I do feel the Lord leading me towards WoF teaching, and so wondered if you could please give me some advice?

1. Which ministry (or ministries) are best for learning about WoF teachings, and which are obviously led of the Lord? I do feel I would like to support a ministry, but there are so many!

2. Which books on WoF can you recommend?

3. Does WoF tend to stick to one particular Bible translation, and if so which one? I tend to use the KJV, but have a range of different translations on my book shelf.

This is a genuine and sincere enquiry. Thank you in advance.

Hope you find this link helpful :) So far as I know and have experienced Word of Faith ministeries use all translations they feel led to. Personally NKJV is my preference but each to their own.

I'm also in agreement with PreacherMike, both Andrew Womack and Kenneth Copeland are good men of God. Joyce Meyer too has an annointing which speaks with clarity directly where your at. All love God and live by the Word of God.

I believe the best is www.rhema.org , founded by Kenneth E Hagin, who trained all the others at the beginning. His son is there now but Kenneth E, who was the best, has lots of books and you can watch him on video
They mainly use the KJV but sometimes a few others.
They've got books on any subject so would cover everything. Maybe do a search or anything you are intestered in

@ RainySeptember,

You are welcome. Read Andrew Wommack's book "You'Ve Already Got It" - that is the essence of the faith movement.

@ Apple,

London. The reason for the used to is that we are starting our own church. We started getting close to the people there and I am no sheeple-thiefie.

Cheers,

Yeh good point sorry Septemberintherain

I attend Bradford Eicc, been there since April 07. It's my first church and since God planted me there I never looked back! God has been at work in mine and my families life so much since I became born again it has been awesome, thank you Jesus!

I checked out your website briefly, I would like to take a better look as God speaks through you in what appears to me to be a mature yet down to earth manner which I can relate to...the down to earth art anyway :p

It is interesting and very exciting to watch as slowly but surely Christianity is growing in the UK. Still there are so many to touch for Jesus and how awesome to be a part of the mission!
