If it's people close to you (guys you live with, work with, take classes with, etc), have you sat down with them one-on-one and said "Look, the stuff you say really bothers me"? Or do you just flip out and yell at them (which of course is probably what they enjoy)? You men-folks are always the ones saying that you need clear signals, and that you don't pick up on other peoples' feelings too well. So give these guys a clear and CALM message. "You guys are really bothering me, please stop". Don't attack them, don't put them on the defensive, you want to make them understand where you're coming from.

If they just ignore you, then they suck and they're mean. You can't control anyone but yourself in the end. Hopefully they'll get the message, but if not, you either have to ignore it, and find another place to live.

I am sorry you are being treated this way.. it isn't nice... it is degrading and hurts..

Unfortunately these types are everywhere.. try hard not to let them ruin your life though.. they are the really sad ones here.. because hurt people hurt people..

Maybe they have a point....maybe I'm weighing down on their chances because I'm not what women are "looking for". The two issues with that is that I've always could get hot girls now, and that they'll still lose when these women actually see how they act. But here no woman would ever want me, because I'm exactly not what they're looking for.

I deffo could lose some pounds (over 200 again! jeez), I know it's a problem, but I'm eating grilled chicken sandwiches and salads and PB&J (heavy on the "PB") every day while I lift weights and walk/jog at least 3 miles or so a day. This stuff is just so frustrating to even myself. Ugh.

Oh stop it, YOU are not responsible for anybody else's dating life!

And PB is one of the best ways to GAIN weight, that stuff is packed with fat and calories. If you're thinking that it's good because of the protein, you need LEAN proteins; fish, chicken, turkey, etc. Nuts are healthy, but only in fairly small amounts.

You'd be surprised.

It's the serving size amount (2TBPS), not something ridiculous. I don't have any money for fish or something. Gotta get my protein somehow. :(

Well, you said "heavy on the PB" which made it sound like you're eating a lot of it. It is a good source of protein if you're eating it in moderation. So is skim milk. Lots of cereals have protein added, too. Lots of cheap ways to get your protein :)

Oh goodness, I fully sympathise with trying to eat healthily on a student budget... cans of tuna and wholemeal bread aren't the most appetising things.

Look out for offers in the supermarket. Literally every time I go I check the fish aisle to see if anything is marked down because it needs to be eaten that day. I don't find something every day, but when I do it's really nice. I found scallops the other day - my favourite luxury food - for about a quarter of their original price. Also, you can buy the cheap packs of mixed fish - they're no worse than whole fish, they're just cheap because they're in chunks.

I've also learnt to prioritise my spending. What else are you spending your money on? I used to think nothing about buying a £2 cup of coffee at lunchtime, but I'd be unable to afford good quality groceries. Now, I bring my own coffee (which is practically free), and I spend a larger proportion of my money on the things which are actually going to contribute to my health.

Yeah.

I say "heavy on the PB" because I barely glaze the thing with any jelly....that stuff isn't good for you at all. I make the point to buy fresh fruit (with what money, I know) so I can have something healthy that I can eat anytime. Oh, and my carrots. Love my carrots. :D

Have you tried herbal teas at all? They boost the metabolism.
Yes, I have....never really seen results from that, though. Right now I'm about 206 (eek!), and I'm usually somewhere between 180-195 depending on the month or whatever. However I did start lifting somewhat seriously over the summer and that's when I gained at least 10 pounds in a few weeks so I was up around 198-200, and I've still been lifting. The thing was even when I was EDing it up at 173 (I think that was my lowest before I got help....FTR I was in the 210s plus before), I was still visibly fat.

It's all just irritating, and I know that it's not a total hindrance to me with the ladies (though it still somewhat is), but it's keeping me from really being the healthiest person I can be. I like being healthy.....there's a good feeling about it. :)

I've seen photos of you on here before and you never came across as being overweight to me. Maybe these guys know that you are sensitive about your image and always worrying about not looking good, so call you overweight because they know it will get to you. Anyway, don't let immature people like them bother you, there are so many of them out there that you just have to learn to live with them and brush it off. :)

If they don't have healthy diets and exercise then you will be the one laughing later on! Good on you for taking positive steps. I am trying to do the same. I cut sugar out of my diet for a few days and lost weight from that but unfortunately I had a few biscuits today.

I've got people who make fun of me for being fat all the time, and they seem to think that acting like a bunch of idiots is cool. The second part I can always either shrug off or something, but the first part really hurts. How can I get them to stop?

I think you look fine, you have a nice picture. You don't look fat to me and even if others think you do just ignore what they are saying. Ignoring an unkind word will always make someone think why you didn't react to it. Make them think:)

have a good 1 today

Blind post:

Kick them in the face. WAIT - get Ishida to come kick butt with his swords and other weapons of coolness.

Or, ya know - tell 'em to stop/get new friends/etc. I'm sorry, and just know that I know how you feel!

PS. You are not fat/overweight/etc by the way.
