• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

You don't have to worry about being good enough for God. He created you good enough, I promise. God loves you just as you are. I guess... do the very best you can and God will handle the rest. That's my advice, do the best you can. Right now, whether you realize it or not, God loves you just as you are.

It may help if I share what was told to me... you may be a blessing without ever realizing it. Your different thinking, may help others.

Because of autism, you face a lot of difficulties. God knows the struggling you go through to have relationships, the pain you have as it's again not working out, the frustration and perhaps, at times anger, towards yourself, or towards others, or perhaps also to God, that it's like that and that they don't always see, or respond in ways helpfull, or that you at times feel left out.

I have a lot of struggling there too... also finding, it's can be so difficult, me wishing God to be that Best Friend, but... well, He speaks in other ways. Most people find that difficult, though uncertainty and feelings of lacking in relationships make it seem worse (and perhaps it is, but He's wanting to help make it become better)

What I was told, uhm, a few months ago, is, that if you do something that's, well, hard to you, for God, it's so precious to Him.

Perhaps that's... He knows these things are hard to you, but He's not angry or dissapointed.
He is excited and so proud of you if through all of that you keep trying...

I hope that's somewhat a help to you; hope am making sence, am just writing out some thoughts now

I think there are several ways to "get healing".

Yes - God can heal! And yes, we can pray!

One thing that I think some people can get too "spiritual" about is medication. God also gave us wisdom. and there are some really great medical experts out there, that put their God given wisdom into practice! There are medications which can help with your ADHD - see if you (and your doctor) can sort out what is best for you.

With regard to your aspbergurs, be aware of what situations and circumstances are likely to "set you off" and pray first. In some cases, it might be wiser to avoid those situations, but at other times, taking a supportive friend or relative, or just mentally preparing yourself may help you to stay in "control".

Yes, pray, but also use wisdom - your wisdom, and the wisdom of medical professionals. I hope that helps!

As far as caring for others, pray for others as you remember them or as God lays them on your heart. Through this, God will cause your love to grow for them.

I usually send up a prayer, also, when I hear a siren going by. That is usually an indicator of some kind of crisis.

I have some of the same concerns you have, but I believe if we walk in the light God has given us, He'll give us more, ASD or not.
